Vice President Kamala Harris praises Beyoncé following the release of ❝Cowboy Carter.❞

Beyoncé’s new album “Cowboy Carter” is reclaiming the Black roots of country music. At the same time, the project brings further focus to southern culture and the whole rodeo queen imagery. Born and raised in Houston, TX, Beyoncé grew up going to the rodeo and experiencing life, culture, and artistry in the South. And ever since marking her territory, she has encountered criticism from those who think of country music as a “white” genre. Following the album's release, Vice President Kamala Harris has commended Beyoncé for redefining country.
