Solange confirms her marriage is over: "A n*gga ain't perfect." *UPDATED*

Solange moves on with much younger man.
Solange is single and ready to mingle! After 11 years together, she confirms her separation from husband Alan Ferguson. They met in 2008 after being introduced by Janelle Monáe, and eventually got married in 2014. When they married, he was 50, and she was 28, and I kind of felt this was going to be an issue. She had a baby extremely young following a shotgun wedding. Then not too long after getting divorced, she jumped into another serious relationship with a much older man. I don't think she's allowed herself to just date and she needs to. Better yet, with two failed marriages under her belt, she should just stay single for a bit and enjoy some all important me time. As for this announcement...

"11 years ago I met a phenomenal man who changed every existence of my life. Early this year we separated and parted ways," she wrote in a lengthy Instagram post before firmly telling fans that she will not be revealing the reason behind their split because, "it's none of ya'll business." Okay then! "A n*gga ain’t perfect, but I'm leaning into the fear of the unknown and all the glory and power I know exist within God and the Universe's grace."

Jeeez. Did she really need to go all weirdly spiritual with this faux deepness to announce a bloody separation?! She could easily have said, "I'm divorcing my husband, so next time ya'll see my bum in another man's crotch, you will know the real deal, bitches!" Back in early May, a video was leaked on Instagram showing Solange grinding on a mystery fella. In the video, Solange is intimately dancing with the guy who is much younger than her 56-year-old husband. Chances are, if a married woman is sexually dancing on another man that isn't her husband, she is either cheating or she's NOT with her spouse any more. So rumours of her separation has been out there. Just not officially. Solange's been out here living her life as a single woman for months and has only decided to address it now. I think she had no choice because her separation was a hot topic on social media yesterday. Someone with influence was going to out her as an alleged cheater, so she decided to get ahead of the gossip and put out a statement. Anyway, I'm ready for her to drop her very own rendition of 'Lemonade.' That last album of hers was not good, but all of a sudden, new music from her has become very appealing. Check out her full Instagram post below.

the past 2 years have brought me more physical and spiritual transition and evolution than ever before my body left me with no choice but to listen and be still within that stillness i begin my journey in confronting my worst enemy, fear. ive lived my best and worst moments in front of the lens and gaze of the world since i was a teenager. ive always tried to live in my truth no matter how ugly or full of love it is. ive also tried to carve out the space to protect my heart, and my life as it unfolds, evolves, and changes. 11 years ago i met a phenomenal man who changed every existence of my life. early this year we separated and parted ways, (and tho it ain’t nan no body business 😭) i find it necessary to protect the sacredness of my personal truth and to live in it fully just as I have before and will continue to do. it is unfair to not have power of your own story as you shape and mold and rewrite it yourself. a nigga ain’t perfect, but im leaning into the fear of the unknown and all the glory and power i know exist within god and the universes grace. may all of your transitions no matter how big or small, be kind to you and filled with incredible love and light!

UPDATE:

This video footage was doing the rounds right before her announcement, and was allegedly filmed in August of this year. It shows Solange canoodling with a new man. Looks like the same guy she was grinding against back in May. Yep. Seems Solange has officially moved on and is living her life.
