An Oklahoma country station defend themselves after REFUSING to play Beyoncé’s new music...

An Oklahoma country music station was heavily criticized for refusing to play Beyoncé’s new tune, ‘Texas Hold ‘Em.’ A local listener claims he requested Bey’s new country bop, only to be told in an email, “We do not play Beyoncé on KYKC, as we are a country music station.” A rep from KYKC exclusively told The Shaderoom that the response was a “generic” reply, and that the station are “excited” she has crossed over. A lot of country fans would agree with them. She is not a country artist, and has been marketed as a pop singer for most of her career. The Beyhive certainly don't mess around though.

I agree, Toya! She's not a Country artist BUT Oklahoma is NOT the biggest market for Country music, Texas & Georgia are bigger markets & their playing it. So, yes, the Beyhive don't play BUT the OKC station had NO Leverage regardless!
