Solange for 'Glamour' (cover shoot)

Solange covers Glamour’s “Women of the Year” December issue, and talks about racism influencing her latest album.
It's been little over a year since Solange released her critically acclaimed album 'A Seat At The Table.' According to Solange, the album's creation was mostly about releasing trauma. She's carried that around, as well as generational trauma from the racism her father encountered. She reveals pain can be passed on, and that the album was her way of releasing it. Solange made it cool to be the outspoken black girl for mainstream music with 'A Seat At The Table.' While it wasn't my favourite album from her, she delivered some wonderfully strong messages!
