Mariah Carey for UK's Cosmopolitan.

Serving up Christmas banter
Mariah Carey stays looking ageless and beautiful on the December issue of UK's Cosmopolitan magazine. In the US edition, she criticized the younger generation of digital artists for not needing to work as hard as artists that came up in the 90s (artists that had no aid in internet, social media or streaming platforms). This wasn't even Mimi being shady. She was just spilling some cold facts. But this interview was a lot more light-hearted simply because the discussion was just about Christmas. It makes a lot of sense since Mariah is currently celebrating the 25th anniversary of her iconic festive classic 'All I Want For Christmas Is You.' It is one of the best-selling tracks of all time at 16 million copies, and has contributed an estimated £48 million to her festive multi-million dollar Christmas empire. Each year, the song reportedly rakes up a staggering £400,000 in royalties. Can you imagine that? It's probably why she can afford not to care about album sales in general because that song alone IS her entire career now. Life is that grande when an artist can live off one song for the rest of their life.

'All I Want For Christmas Is You' is also used in her Christmas commercial for Walkers where she was reportedly paid between $9-11 million dollars. Anyway, in the assisting interview, she discusses how she wrote the track and serves up a checklist to how fans can have a Christmas just like hers. Because who wouldn't want festive tips from the undisputed queen of Christmas?
