Britney Spears reportedly "refusing" to do interviews to promote new book...

Britney Spears' decision to reportedly turn down all interviews to promote her forthcoming book, 'The Woman In Me' has apparently "angered" the publishers. But publishers should have been alert and aware of what they were getting into when they offered her a tell-all book deal worth $15 million. She has been very open about not wanting to give interviews, as well as her perception of how the media portrays her. No one blames Britney for putting herself first. One's mental health must always come first. Britney reportedly turned down all interviews, including Good Morning America, much to the dismay of memoir execs who want her to promote the book to generate more sales.

A press tour clearly isn’t necessary based on presales. 'The Woman In Me,' is already on Amazon's best sellers list in the 'pre-orders' category, and is available to purchase on October 24th.

She’s been put on the spot in a lot of awkward situations in interviews and she just doesn’t wanna be in interviews rehashing her traumatic experiences. She prob has PTSD from everything she went through that book will sell cause alotta ppl wanna know everything she went through.

Would I selfishly love to hear an interview directly from her about anything in the book? Of course! However, I’m sure the media is in that book as one of the subjects she rightly attacks being how vicious they’ve been towards her from ever since she was a teenager. Why would she sign up for any interviews or promos about subject matter that’s probably gonna be triggering and will likely be taken out of context or amplified to make a bigger sensation out of what she’s allowed to be put in the book in a way she’s approved of? Good for her for putting her foot down and making these publishers accept the terms she’s setting forth.

I still can't believe she signed for a measly $15m when the publishers will probably make that back in first week sales alone.
